Lawrence H. Fraley, 93, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital South. He was born in Frenchburg, Kentucky on June 1, 1931, he was the son of Lawrence and Neva Fraley.
Larry served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a 43 year employee of Armco Steel Corp, retiring December 31, 1991 as a Slab Mill roller. Larry was a dedicated and active member of the Masons, serving as Master of Jefferson Lodge #90, High Priest of Middletown Chapter RAM #87, Ill Master of Middletown Council #37, Commander of Middletown Commandery #71 and he was a Knight York Cross of Honour of Ohio Priory #18. He was also a member of the Antioch Shrine, 32nd degree member of Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, 44 year member and Past Exalted Ruler of Middletown Elks Lodge #257, member of the Loyal Order of Moose #501 and member of the American Legion Post 218 for over 50 years.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Joy (Todd) Chaney; two grandsons, Grant & Ryan Chaney; brother, Tom (Linda) Fraley; and sister, Linda Wallace.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne Daly and grandson, Austin Daly; his dear friend and former wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Gibson) Fraley; and brother-in-law, Perry Wallace.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown with Reverend Richard Sedgwick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with masonic services at 10:45, presented by Jefferson Lodge #90. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
