Lawrence Jones

Lawrence Jones, 95, of Farmersville, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Otterbein- Springboro. He was born in South Vienna, Ohio on May 5, 1918 to parents William Lawrence and Ruby Pearl (Fitzgivens) Jones.

Mr. Jones was employed by Dayton Press for 35 years. He was also a farmer.

Mr. Jones is survived by his two daughters, Joyce Cope and Shirley (Richard) McBride; 5 grandchildren, Thomas (Valerie) Cope, Michael (Kimberly) Cope, Bryan (Adrienne) Mandzak, Bradley Mandzak and Michelle (Jody) Malicote; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Joan Morris.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lola Mae (McLaughlin) Jones (2006) and daughter, Virginia Jones (2008).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 115 S. Main Street, Franklin with Father James Manning as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 am at church. Interment will be at Preble Memory Gardens.
