Lee Daniel Zimmerman

Lee Daniel Zimmerman, 76, of Monroe, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1936 to parents Clark and Aurora (Blackford) Zimmerman.

Lee worked for Armco Steel Corp as CFO in the Metal Building Division for 50 years, retiring in 2005. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer. Lee was a wonderful husband & loving father who enjoyed all of his kids activities and he also enjoyed playing golf and his poker club. He & Judy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 23rd in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife, Judith (Hill) Zimmerman; three children, Lisa (Michael) Grove, Jeff Zimmerman & Mike Zimmerman; brother, Pete (Fran) Zimmerman; sister-in-law, Kathy Jurich; grandchildren, Sean & Kyle Grove; nephews, Steven & Alan Jurich; and niece, Kim Eisenhower.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services were held Tuesday, January 29th with interment at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
