Leonard A. Monce, 73, of Riverside, Ohio, died on May 22, 2004, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Middletown on October 24, 1930 to parents Charles E. and Mary (Albert) Monce.
Mr. Monce was a Terne Coat Operator for the Armco Steel Corp. He retired after 36 years, in 1991 as a Terne Coat Operator at Armco Steel. He served his country in the Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Riverside (Dayton) Ohio.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Anna Jane Monce (1992) and his brother, Sam Monce.
He is survived by wife, Betty L.( Butler) Monce; four daughters: Susan A. (Bill) Abramovitz of Cincinnati, OH, Elizabeth J. (Eugene) Lolli of Stow, OH, Mary Jo (Rick) Blair of Trenton, OH, Cheryl L. (Mark) Withrow of Hamilton, OH; two sisters: Dolores (Ernest) Judd of Middletown, OH, Mary G. (John) Piedel of Middletown, OH; stepson, Douglas (Wendy) Kennedy of Middletown, OH; stepdaughter, Denise (Rev. Gregory) DePriest of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Matthew Lolli, Benjamin Lolli, Kevin Brown, Mallory Blair, Jennifer Withrow and stepgrandchildren, Marc Kennedy, Mason Kennedy, Erin Kennedy, Nicholas DePriest and Emily DePriest.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Apostolic Lighthouse Church 2221 Harshman Rd. Riverside, OH with Reverend Bradley Smith officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 24, 2004 from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH and one hour prior to service from 10-11 AM at church. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery.
