Lester J. Sanders

Lester J. Sanders, 92, of Turtlecreek Township, Ohio, died on April 17, 2005, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. He was born in Edgerton, Ohio on December 8, 1912 to parents George A. and Anna D. (Miller) Sanders.

Mr. Sanders was the owner of the heating and air conditioning business L.J. Sanders & Son for 25 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp and of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne.

Lester is survived by two sons, Michael (Bernadette) Sanders of Middletown, OH and Keith (Joanne) Sanders of Martinsville, VA; two brothers, Vincent Sanders of Paulding, OH and Wayne Sanders of Bryan, OH; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend Hannah, a yellow labrador retriever.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ellen (Lundy) Sanders in June 2002; his parents; a son, Alan Sanders in March 2002; and two sisters, Beulah Sanders and Juanita Schiffley.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Krill Funeral Home, 114 E. Hull St., Edgerton, OH with Pastor David Moreland officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton.
