Linzie R. Sorrell, 89, of Middletown, died Saturday November 12, 2005 at Garden Manor. He was born November 22, 1915 in Middletown to parents Roy and Nellie (Little) Sorrell.
Mr. Sorrell was an Army Veteran Serving in WWII and the European Theater. He retired from Inland Container after 40 years. Linzie was a member of University Baptist Church and he enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Linzie is survived by his wife Mary (Horn) Sorrell, today November 14 would have been their Sixty-third wedding anniversary, a daughter Judy (Ron Sr.) Belshe of Miamisburg, son Gerald (Alicia) Sorrell of Middletown, three grandchildren Melinda (Jeff) Pugh, Tricia (Mark) Bingham, and John Sorrell, five great-grandchildren; Amber and Lindsay King, Aaron Pugh, Rachel and Sierra Bingham, brother Homer Sorrell, and three sisters Helen Tadych, Jean (Charles) Bryant, and Etta (Lesley) Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Albert Sorrell.
Funeral services will be Tuesday November 15, 2005 at 10AM at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home with the Reverend C. Nolan Phillips. Visitation will be Monday (Today) November 14, 2005 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
