Lloyd Dennis Cox, 80, of Middletown, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Knott County, Kentucky on May 24, 1927 to parents Huram and Amanda (Amburgey) Cox.
Mr. Cox retired from Monsanto, where he worked as a machinist. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was one of the founders of Tytus Ave. Church of God, where he served as song director, and was currently a member of Poasttown Church of God. Dennis enjoyed having coffee with his friends at McDonalds.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Anna (Brashears) Cox; two daughters, Charlotte Tinch and Brenda (Gary) Yeazel; son, Roland (Patti) Cox; foster son, Don J. Brashears; two sisters, Mattie Fitzpatrick and Gladys Alexander; five grandchildren, Kevin Tinch, Kyle Tinch, Dennis Cox, Dana Stephens, and Richard Cobb II; five great grandchildren, Jesse Tinch, Ashley & Allison Cox, and Alex & Luke Cornele; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vada Miracle; brothers, Eston Cox, Heza Cox, and Troy Cox; and great great grandson, Gerald Lloyd Tinch.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 1:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Randy Wallace officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
