M. Carolyn Mcguire Lanier

M. Carolyn McGuire Lanier, 85, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Trenton, Ohio died Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Mercy Anderson. She was born in Greenbriar, Kentucky on June 30, 1931 to parents Joseph Elmer and Mary Lee (Bradley) Metcalf.

Carolyn had worked in the cafeteria at Edgewood Schools.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Marie (Doug) Burgher; brother, Henry Sylvester Metcalf; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Carl McGuire in 1971; second husband, Herbert Lanier in 2011; sons, Rev. Joseph Frederick McGuire, Perry L. McGuire & J. Eric McGuire; parents; and 1brother & 1 sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father Stephen Lattner, OSB as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Inurnment will be at Miltonville Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 8050 Hosbrook Rd., Suite 314, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236.
