Thompson, Mabel H.
Mabel H. Thompson, 90, of Lebanon, formerly of Monroe died Saturday, August 10, 2013, at home. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 15, 1922 to parents John Elmer and Anna Elizabeth (Adams) Henderson.
Mabel retired after 34 years as a registered nurse. During her career, she worked at Middletown Regional Hospital, Otterbein Retirement Community and for Dr. Ken Smith. She was also a member of the Cadet Nurses Corp during World War II. Mabel was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 54 years where she was a Sunday School teacher, active in the Sewing Circle and played piano and organ at the church.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Betty (Tom) Clark; son, John Thompson; brother, Robert Henderson and grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson, Caitlin (Donald) Munk and Kristin Thompson.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Thompson Jr. and brother, James Henderson.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 212 S. Broad Street, Middletown with Pastor Michelle Terry officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
