Marcella A. (nee Beasley) Hassler, 83, a resident of Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008. She was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 24, 1924 to parents George and Mayme (Uhl) Beasley.
A devoted homemaker, Marcella married Frank Hassler on November 2, 1945, and lived most of her life in Cincinnati.
She was preceded by her husband in 2005, as well as by her parents and brothers, John Beasley and Richard Beasley.
She was the devoted mother of Michael (Helen) Hassler of Middletown, Patricia (George) Bingham, of Vernal, Utah, and Christopher (Dana) Hassler, of St. Pete Beach, Florida. She was the dear grandmother of Sarah Hassler, Tim, Nathan, Katie, Mark, Matthew, Becky, and Joshua Hassler and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Georgia (Gerald) Miller of Appleton, Wisconsin, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe with Father Terry Meehan as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery.
