Margaret L. Wilson, 83, of Monroe, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on September 9, 1930 to parents Herbert and Lavone (Dumford) Tibbs.

Margaret retired from the McDonald's restaurant on Verity Parkway in 2000 after 20 years as a cashier.

Margaret was filled with compassion and interest in others. She was a great mother to her sons by showing them what unconditional love is. She dedicated her life to the care of her severely handicapped son Mike, and without regret spent every Saturday and Sunday afternoon riding him around town to give him some quality time away from his home. Even with all the time required for Mike's care, she made sure the rest of her family was never neglected. She was a wonderful grandmother giving freely of herself by spending valuable time with her grandsons.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sons, Patrick (Anita) Wilson and William "Mike" Wilson; brothers, Mark (Debbie) Tibbs, Herbert Tibbs and Paul Tibbs; sister, Helen Marie Linn and grandchildren, Erik (Jennifer) Wilson, Jeffery Wilson and Jesse Anderson; great granddaughter, Lydia Wilson.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Wilson in 1987; parents; daughter-in-law, Linda Wilson; brothers, James Tibbs and Robert Tibbs and sister, Betty Tibbs.

The family thanks the wonderful caregivers from Mount Pleasant Nursing Home and Hospice for making her last days comfortable, and to the visitation team from Breiel Blvd. Church of God for all the wonderful visits praying with her.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
