Marguerite Dakin

Marguerite Dakin, 88 of Middletown, died on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Otterbein Lebanon. She was born on August 15, 1916 in Middletown to Marion & Causby (Hale) Powers. In 1936 she married Joseph F. Dakin, he preceded her in death Jan. 6, 2000, and she was also preceded by a daughter Kathryn, six sisters and two brothers. She was a homemaker who loved sewing and her life centered on her family.


She is survived by three sons: Gerald (Marilyn) Dakin, Franklin Oh., Frederick ( Barbara) Dakin, Darrtown, Oh., Joseph (Carol) Dakin, Middletown, a sister Helen Argo, of Dayton, Oh, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces and a nephew.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home; 3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Dr. with Msgr. Paul Metzger and Chaplain Ruthanne Niehaus officiating, visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
