Marguerite L. Miles

Marguerite L. Miles, 94, of Middletown, died Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on May 27, 1922 to parents William J. and Minnie (Shultz) Miles.

Marguerite had a wonderful career in nursing, beginning with serving as a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II, then being Director of the Middletown Hospital School of Nursing and finally retiring as the Associate Dean of Nursing at Miami University of Middletown in 1986. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Miss Miles is survived by her nephews, Miles (Joanie) Keller, Jeff (Tracy Hatton) Keller, Sean (Karen) Keller & Jonathan (Sherri) Keller; niece, Kim (John) Billings; twelve great nieces & nephews including special great niece Kaegan and great nephews Cory & Christopher; sister-in-law, Margie Smith; and Sunday morning mass & breakfast friends, Betty, Carol & Fran. She is also survived by Kristian Ryan, Melissa Steele, Aimee Stuphin, Meagan Harvey & Bridgett Southerland as well as several great great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Janet M. Keller, Elizabeth Smith & Dorothy Miles; and nephew, Todd Keller.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to BrightStar Care and Marguerite's caregivers Theresa, Karen, Ann, Michelle, Sandy, Tammy & Leslie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
