Marietta Mcmonigle

Marietta McMonigle, 78 of Middletown died on Saturday evening at her residence. She was born in St. Helens, Ky. on Nov. 15, 1925 to Lyman & Nancy May (Stamper) Moon. Marietta was a faithful member for 66 years at Christ United Methodist Church, and had been a teacher’s aide in the Middletown Schools. She dedicated her time to the adult literacy program in Middletown.


She is survived by her husband John V. McMonigle, Middletown; six sons: Daniel (Vi) McMonigle, Brunswick, OH, Roger (Jane) McMonigle, Middletown, Thomas (Gail) McMonigle, New Richmond, OH, Joseph ( Kathleen) McMonigle, Naples, Fl., Todd (Heidi) McMonigle, Louisville, Ky., Theodore (Cathy) McMonigle Middletown, two daughters Susan (Ben) Britton, Morristown, Tn., Linda (Ken) Drogue, Naples, Fl. one brother John Paul Moon, Middletown. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son David McMonigle, her parents and her step father Kermit Duvall.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, Oct.19, 2004 at 2:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive. With Rev. Lee Ortman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of the service. Interment at Woodside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Oh 45420.
