Marilyn A. (Hamm) Routson, 79, of Middletown, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at her residence. She was born in Middletown, on October 25, 1928 to parents John A. and Marie (Schoepski) Hamm.
Marilyn worked as a switchboard operator for McGraw Construction for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Middletown.
Mrs. Routson is survived by two daughters, Deborah A. (Michael) Benson and Diane M. (Gregory) Richardson; one son, Gregory E. Routson; a sister, Eleanor Elizabeth McMahon; six grandchildren, Charles Weyhenmeyer III, Erin M. Greer, Taswell Routson, Kyle Routson, Brianna Benson, and Tyler Benson; and one great granddaughter, Brianna Renee Routson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. "Buddy" Routson in 1998; her parents; brothers, Albert Lawrence Hamm and John Anton Hamm; and sisters, Martha Romans and Ruth Elizabeth Bell
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 120 S. Broad St., Middletown, with Reverend Dean Penrod officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Mound Cemetery.
