Mark Griffin, 78, of Monroe, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 15, 1933 to parents Donald and Mildred (Isbel) Griffin.
Mark served his country in the United States Air Force and worked in production planning at Armco Steel for 39 years.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Adams) Griffin; sons, Joe Griffin, Tim (Mary) Griffin and daughter, Cindy (Scott) Schoeler and grandchildren, Carey (Shane) McVey, Jody (Joe) Howard, Leslie (Tug) Hundley, Allyson Wilson, Jake Wilson, Josh Schoeler, Lindsey Schoeler, Justin Griffin, Mark Griffin, and Brian Griffin; great grandchildren, Morgan and Regan McVey, Nora and Leah Hundley, Naveah and Lilly Griffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at 10:00 am at Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon Street, Monroe with Father Terry Meehan as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH and prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at Church. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery with military honors by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
