Martha Carter DeBold, 80, of Monroe, died September 25, 2006, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Clinton County, on November 27, 1925 to parents Walter and Arlene (Darbyshire) Carter.
Martha worked as an interior designer for several local companies and enjoyed historical home restoration. She had been an art student at Miami University and Wright State University and was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church, DAR, and multiple historical societies.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, John A. DeBold; daughter, Marsha Kyle; parents; and sister, Rosabell Smith.
She will be sorely missed by her daughter, Lori DeBold of Long Beach, CA; son, John C. (Melinda) DeBold of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, John (Nancy) Carter of Centerville; and nieces & nephews. She was a great friend to many and had a sense of humor that will be fondly remembered.
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Sept 28, 2006 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village Community Room at Mt. Pleasant Place, Monroe, with Reverend Bradford G. Olson officiating. Interment will be at Sabina Cemetery.
