Martha Jane Gibbs

Martha Jane “Susy” Gibbs, of Middletown, died on March 18, 2007, at Garden Manor. She was born in Middletown, OH on February 6, 1925 to parents Robert and Blanche (Gudgeon) Walters, Sr. She resided eight years with her daughter Robyn’s family before moving to Garden Manor.

Mrs. Gibbs worked at Castell Drugs as a Bookkeeper and retired in 1980 from Dr. Patterson’s office where she was a receptionist. She loved to crochet and sew, loved animals, her volunteer work at Middletown Regional Hospital and especially loved her grandchildren. Her smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Memory Impaired Unit and the Northwest Wing at Garden Manor for their devotion and care.

Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Gibbs, three brothers Harold, Robert Jr. and Alfred Walters, and a sister, Kathryn Wrights.

She is survived by a daughter, Robyn (Tom) Bundren of Middletown, two grandchildren, Rick (Candace) Bundren of Toledo and Chris (Carrie) Bundren of Lockland, three great-grandchildren to be, two due in April and one in October and a sister-in-law, Barbara Walters of Middletown.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Drive), Middletown. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2007 from 10:00-11:00 AM.
