Martha O. Sorrell

Martha O. Sorrell, 80, of Middletown, died Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky on March 2, 1936 to parents Raney and Leva Lee (Lewis) Wells.

Martha had worked for Jefferson Smurfit. She was a member of Poasttown First Church of God.

Mrs. Sorrell is survived by her son, Carl Edward (Debbie) Sorrell Jr.; daughter, Debbie (Ted) Parrella; sister, Laura Garcia; grandchildren, Daniel, Stephanie, & Ashley; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Sorrell Sr. in 2005; daughter, Linda Brown; parents; sisters, Shirley, Mabel & Catherine Mae; and brothers, Oliver "Powell" & John.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd, Middletown with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
