Martin L. Wright

Martin L. "Marty" Wright, 76, of Franklin Township, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born in Middletown on June 6, 1947 to parents, Brooks and Cora (Dumford) Wright.

Marty retired from the Middletown Police Department and had previously worked in security for Middletown Regional Hospital and Mercy Hospital South. Following retirement he enjoyed working as part of the grounds crew at Armco Park.

Marty loved his family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Bonnie Wright; son, Tim Wright; step-sons, Tod (Karen) Clendenin & Robert Clendenin; sister, Barbara Wright; nephews, Thomas Wright Jr. & George Wright; niece, Ellen Bolinger; great nephews, Ethan Bolinger & Thomas Wright III, Kyle & Kyra Flores; and many more loving family & friends.

In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Wright; and sister, Gayle Bolinger.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011.
