Marvin Ricke, 74, of Trenton, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on March 18, 1935 to parents Nicholas and Thresia (Ditgen) Ricke.

Marvin served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Ricke retired from Aeronca, he was a past president of the Trenton Knothole, a longtime member of the Quarterback club, Edgewood Boosters, Roundball Club and the Trenton Jaycees.

Mr. Ricke is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly (Kitson) Ricke; sons, Rodney (Linda) Ricke, Nicholas (Durona) Ricke, Kenton Ricke, Scott (Cecilie) Ricke; daughter, Julie (Michael) Bradford and brother, Leroy Ricke and grandchildren, Shaun, Shelly and Jennifer Bradford; Nolan, Travis, Kayla, Kaitlin, Mackenzie, Nichole, Brinton, Nathan, and Bailey Ricke.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Irene Ternes and Esther Ingram; brother, Sylvester Ricke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
