Mary A. Combs

Mary A. Combs, 87, of Springboro, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Hillspring of Springboro. She was born in Dumbarton County, Scotland on July 22, 1919 to John and Agnes (Maley) Connelly and received her United States Citizenship in 1944.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Hamilton, where she was salutatorian. She worked for Mosler Safe Company as an executive secretary for 25 years, retiring in 1976 and was a member of the National Secretary Association. Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church and a member of the Holy Family Ladies Society.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan (Steve) Meyer of Franklin; her son, John A. Combs of Cincinnati; a brother, Jack (Ruthie) Connelly of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren Patrick Meyer and fiance Heidi Fisher, Steven (Chris) Meyer, Holly Meyer and fiance Chuck Fedders, Jessika Combs, and Bobby Combs; two great grandsons, Jacob Meyer and Sullivan Meyer; numerous nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Marie Gardiner of Dumbarton, Scotland; and her best friend of 80 years, Vera Keck of Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Combs in 1997; her parents; brother, George Connelly; and sisters, Catherine Emenaker and Anna Connelly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Interment will be at St. Mary´s Cemetery in Hamilton.
