Mary Alice Roberts

Mary Alice Roberts, 83, of Monroe, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 2, 1926 to parents Victor and Mary Alice (Quinn) Crainich.

Mary Alice was a member of Holy Family Parish where she participated with the women's group. She worked as a secretary for the Middletown Medical Center for 16 years, retiring in 1987.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene Roberts; son, Michael Gene (Tina) Roberts; daughters, Diana (Charles) Barrett, Susan (Mario Meraz) Roberts, Joyce (Dana) Jameson, Lisa (Gary) Smith and Linda (Craig) Luzum; brothers, Roy (Phyllis) Crainich and Vic (Margie) Crainich; sisters, Virginia (Ernest) Pohl and J.C. Crainich; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Margie Steele and Gloria Furr.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
