Mary Ann Steele

Mary Ann (Rueter) Steele, 84, a resident of Otterbein Retirement Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 3, 2008 at the Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Middletown to parents John and Pearl (Campbell) Reuter.

Mrs. Steele was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she enjoyed bead work, ceramics, and traveling. Mary Ann worked for Signal Corps during WWII.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother all rolled up into one whom will be missed by her husband Robert Steele, daughter Patti (Mike) McKinney, son Robert (Fiancé Linda Oliver) Steele II, 6 grandchildren; Brian (Renee) McKinney, Todd (MacKenzie) McKinney, Kevin (Anne) McKinney, Kristin (Donnie) Langworthy, Matt Steele, and Melissa Steele; 4 great-grandchildren; Riley, Morgan, Brody, and Kylee, sister-in-law Dorothy Steele, brother-in-law C. Melvin Steele, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dog Polly.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Nancy Steele, brothers; Donald, Robert and Jack Reuter.

A graveside funeral service will be Tuesday October 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Woodside Cemetery Section 17, with Chaplin Dennis Jones officiating. There will be no visitation.
