Mary C. Wellinghoff

Mary C. Wellinghoff, 91, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Middletown on March 11, 1925 to parents Pasquale E. Sr. and Catherine (Madaffari) Scorti.

Mary worked for Middletown Regional Hospital for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Rita (Jim) Williams; sons, Larry Wellinghoff & Joe Wellinghoff; brothers, Paul (Jo Ann) Scorti & Mike (Kim) Scorti; sisters, Theresa Muthert & Frankie Jones; six grandchildren, Geoff & Kevin (Rachel) Williams, Amy, Alicia & Ryan Wellinghoff & William Jack Stetzer; great grandchildren, Logan, Jordan, Isabelle, Lorelei, Aster & Beatrice; as well as a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Wellinghoff in 2001; parents; brothers, Baby John, Eugene & Pat; and sisters, Baby Mary, Angeline "Tootsie" & Anna.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mt. Pleasant for their friendship and compassionate care provided to Mary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
