Mary E. Cockerham

Mary E. Cockerham went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Feb 24, 2009 at 5:00 pm. Mary was at home with some of her loving kids who had come in to comfort her over the last two weeks. She was comforted by her children and relatives with old hymns that our father had sung to us all our lives. Mary was saved and had accepted her Lord and Savior 44 years ago and she treasured every moment that she got to spend with her Lord in prayer. She worshipped at the Crosspointe Church of Christ.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cockerham; granddaughter, Mindy Brombaugh; great granddaughter, Alexis Lucero; parents, Lee & Maude (Evans) Garrison; two brothers, Bob Garrison and George Evans; and two sisters, Helen Wallace-Rogers and Roberta Shool.

She has left behind to mourn her passing, eight children, Steve & Carol Cockerham, Lillian & Charles Hatfield, David & Ruby Cockerham, Margaret & Donald Stewart, Tom & Brenda Cockerham, Carolyn & John Muncy, Michael Cornwell and Fred & Mallie Cockerham; 25 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Condon-Hamilton.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2009 at 10:00 am at Crosspointe Church of Christ, 5630 State Route 122, Franklin with Reverend Jim Kinser officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
