Mary E. Morgan, 78, of Middletown, Ohio, died on November 15, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in New Lexington, Ohio on March 10, 1927 to parents Michael Fredrick and Anna Pearl (Spelman) Ardetto. Mary was the 3rd of 6 children.
She attended St. Rose Catholic School and graduated from the eight grade and then attended the New Lexington High School. graduating in 1944. She worked at the Ludowici-celedon Tile Plant painting pottery and married John W. Morgan on October 26, 1946 at St. Rose Catholic Church in New Lexington. The Morgans then moved to Middletown. Mary was a Girl Scout leader at St. John´s Catholic Church for eight years, was a member of Holy Family Parish, loved to crochet and worked at Shaddock´s. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, cook and homemaker, who loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She devoted all her time & love in taking care of them. Her husband, children, grandchildren will deeply miss her smile, her laugh, her jokes, her compassions and loving care.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Morgan of Middletown; three daughters: Janice Kay (Ed) Sladek, Debbie (Rod) Stouder and Maryann (Brian) Kipling; two sons: John Michael (Teena) Morgan, David Leslie Morgan; two sisters: Patty O'Rourke and Sharon Gilligan; 12 Grandchildren: Johnnie Sue Buchanan, Michael W. Morgan, Andrea T. Goodwin, Micah G. Morgan, Casey Lake Morgan, E.J. Sladek, Neal L. Stouder, Sara M. Stouder, Amethyst M. Kipling, Clay A. Kipling, Logan B. Kipling and Nick J. Morgan; 6 Great Grandchildren: Jeremy & Kearstin Buchanan, Rachel Celia, Neeley Goodwin and Evan & Shannon Morgan.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Louis “Shorty” Ardetto and her sisters, Margie Tabor and Angie Campbell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church at 10:00 AM with Father John Civille celebrating. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2005 from 5-8 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
