Mary Ellen Fuller

Mary Ellen Fuller, 86, of Middletown, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at The Woodlands of Middletown. She was born in London, Ohio on July 10, 1928 to parents Stewart and Lula Mae (Stevens) Edwards.

Mary graduated from Middletown High School, Middletown School of Nursing receiving her RN license in 1952 and was manager of Main One Surgical Floor until she retired. While in nursing training she was selected to be the Charity Ball Queen of the Annual Middletown Hospital Christmas Dance event held at the prior Manchester Inn. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the National Nursing Association.

Mrs. Fuller is survived by her sisters, Catherine Brown, Sue Edwards & Jean (Donald) Stamper; nephews, Scott Stamper, David Stamper, Jeffrey Stamper & Robert Stamper; niece, Susan Fisher; and several great nieces, great nephews, cousins & other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Fuller in 2008; parents; brother, William Stewart Edwards; sisters, Virginia Ann (Oscar) Riley & Nancy (Cary) Fenton; nephew, Michael Edward Riley; and in-laws, Herbert & Mary Fuller.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend John Wagner officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
