Davis, Mary (Katie) Kathleen

Mary (Katie) Kathleen Davis, 88, of Middletown, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017, at home. She was born in Scranton, Kentucky on October 26, 1928, the youngest child to parents Farmer and Elizabeth (Barker) Sorrell.

Katie worked as a secretary for Armco Steel Corp. for 10 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Herbert Davis; sons, James (Martha) Davis, William (Julie) Davis and Thomas (Sara) Davis; grandchildren, Rob, Jeff, Chelley, Katie, Amy, Eric and Laura;
great grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Ella, Chandler, Savannah, Camaron, Sierra and Davis;
great great grandchild, Aiden.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents and her eight older brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Mound Cemetery.
