Mary Kay Deaton

Mary Kay Deaton, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties with her family at her side, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was born in Hamilton on August 31, 1928 to parents Herman and Matilda (Matos) Wenzel.

Mary Kay was a dancer, singer, gifted artist, and was a performer for most of her life. She volunteered with Middletown Regional Hospital/Atrium Medical Center for 25 years. She will most be remembered for her flamboyant outlook on life, a sense of style all her own, and the ability to be absolutely fabulous no matter what the occasion.

Mrs. Deaton left behind her soul mate and the love of her life, her husband, Walter F. Deaton, on the day of their sixtieth wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her daughters, Tracey Deaton & Tari (Dave) Imsande; brother, Dick (Blanche) Wenzel; sister, Lois Warrick; sister-in-law, Fran Wenzel; grandchildren, Lauren Deaton, Tierney Deaton, Alex Imsande, Matt Cochran & Jake Cochran; great grandson, Rex Young; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews; and special friend, Kelly Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ed Wenzel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, 5940 Long Meadow Dr., Franklin, Ohio 45005.
