Mary L. Tucker

Mary L. (Sexton) Tucker, 72, of Somerville, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Hospice of Hamilton after a 2 year battle with ALS. She was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on February 14, 1944 to parents Arthur and Sarah (Nickell) Sexton.

Mary retired from Ryans Steak House in 1992. She and her husband later moved to Dunnellon, FL where she resided for 12 years. She returned to Ohio 2 years ago, where she lived with her daughter.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her two daughters, Teresa (Danny) Peyton of Somerville, Sandy (Tom) Duran of Port Saint Lucie, Fl.; three step children, Vickie (Kenny) Johnson, Karen (Tim) Wilmot and William (Holly) Tucker Jr.; brother, Alvin Sexton; sisters, Marie (Vernal) Hale, Ruth Helton, Ruby Saylor and Lena (William) Moore; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband William "Bill" Tucker, brother, Ernie Sexton; sister, Voneda Hale and step daughter, Jody Brewster.

Funeral services will be Friday January 20, 2017 at 1:00pm with Rev. Larry Fultz at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. Visitation will be prior the service on Friday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
