Mary M. Wysong

Mary M. Wysong, 83, of Trenton, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Berea, Ohio on November 9, 1931 to parents Donald and Lillian (Mead) Hassler.

Mrs. Wysong worked as a teacher for over 35 years. Locally she taught at Bloomfield Elementary in Trenton and then with the Middletown School District at Taft, Amanda Middle, Oneida & Wilson. Mrs. Wysong was active in the Middletown and Trenton communities as well as at her Middletown Faith United Methodist Church. When it disbanded she became a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Hunter. She was a graduate of Leadership Middletown. She served as president of the Middletown Business and Professional Women, Church Women United, Faith United Methodist Women, Pythian Sisters, Married Couples Class, Edgewood Band Boosters and Trenton Trailblazers Camping Club. She was also active in the American Association of University Women, Middletown Women's Teacher's Club, Dayton South District of United Methodist Women, Mary Martha Circle, Naomi Circle, Women of Faith, Win over Weight Club, Ohio Education Association, Butler County Retired Teachers Association, Guided Study Group, Miami Book Club and American Diabetes Association. She served as publicity writer, for several of these groups, for the Middletown Journal and Trenton Times.

Mrs. Wysong is survived by her husband, Dale Wysong; sons, James (Susan) Wysong & Steven (Sharon) Wysong; and grandchildren, Julie Wysong & Philip Wysong & Noah Wysong.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Ann Myer officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
