Rose Bolen, 95, of Monroe, died Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Bickford Assisted Living. She was born in Hyden, Kentucky on June 28, 1920 to parents James and Almeda (Young) Cornett.
Rose retired from Middletown City Schools working in the cafeteria then worked for McDonald`s on Breiel until she was 91. She also enjoyed sewing and reading and was very active socially with friends.
Mrs. Bolen is survived by her sons, Wayne (Maggie) Bolen, Tim (Yvonne) Bolen; daughter, Diana (Dan) Hinkel; grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Adams, Eric (Heather) Turner, Kelly (Darcy) Bolen, Katie (Andy) Stanne, Leslie (Jay) Cucolo, Logan Bolen, Taylor Nackhla; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Lydia, London, Ryan, Benjamin, Lena, and awaiting number 7.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Bolen; parents; and 9 brothers & sisters.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Dr. Max Fernandez officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
