Mary Stella Sorrell

Mary Stella Sorrell, 91, of Middletown, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Richmond, Kentucky on December 9, 1924 to parents James and Josephine (Long) Horn.

Mary had worked at Aeronca for 30 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of University Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sorrell is survived by her son, Gerald (Alicia) Sorrell; daughter, Judy (Ron) Belshe; sister, Nancy Webster; three grandchildren, Melinda King, Tricia (Mark) Bingham & John Sorrell; five great grandchildren, Amber, Lindsay, Aaron, Rachel & Sierra; one great great grandchild, Mackenzie; and many nieces & nephews. She will also be missed by her friends at church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 63 years, Linzie R. Sorrell in 2005; parents; sisters, Dorothy Hounchell & Betty Fugett; and brothers, Ralph, Waburn, Donald, Hobert & Wallace Horn.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
