Mary C. Turner

Mary C. Turner, 82, of Madison Township, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Atrium Medical Center, surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Jackson, Ohio on June 12, 1942, one of three children to parents, Paul and Helen (Kennedy) Ervin.

Mary worked as a teacher for Madison Local schools for 35 years. After her retirement she enjoyed her peaceful time at home and feeding the wildlife that came around. She also enjoyed having her evening beer and watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and OSU. 

Most of all, Mary loved her family and she will be greatly missed by her children, Tamara Turner, Joe (Karen) Turner & Mary Ann (Scott) Smith; grandchildren, Taren (Michael) Mockbee, Breanna (Greg) Cannon, Kennedi Willis, Aidan Turner, Ava Turner, Grant Smith & Zane Smith; great grandchildren, Riley, Kylie, Brycen & Makena; brother, James Ervin; and sister, Ann (Jim) Riepenhoff.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Joseph Walter Turner.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown. Private services will be held for the family with Father Paul Gebhardt officiating, followed by private interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
