Maxine T. Wilson

Maxine T. Wilson, 81, of Middletown, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Campton, Kentucky on February 7, 1921 to parents Courtney and Elizabeth (Culbertson) Tolson.

Maxine was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She was a very gifted horticulturist. As a life long student of horticulture, she knew the art of growing fruits and vegetables. Her property was a miniature "garden of eden". She spent her years caring for children and growing fruit for others. Her apple trees were welcome territory for all the neighborhood children.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Harrison Wilson; her parents; a sister Mary Etta Peck; and a brother William Paul Tolson.

She is survived by her daughter Jatana Lynn Wilson of Middletown; three brothers Fred Tolson of Arizona, Porter Tolson of Middletown, and Emerson "Pete" Tolson of Miamisburg; and three sisters, Opal Bolin, Garnet Neal, and Ada Mae Shackelford, all of Middletown.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr. with Rev. C.J. Wells officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:30 - 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
