Mayburn Hatton

Mayburn Hatton, 85, of Middletown, died on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Cow Creek, Kentucky on May 24, 1935 to parents, Olney and Nannie Lee Hatton.

Mayburn retired from Armco Steel after 30 years with the company. He then owned and operated L & M Ceramics for over 25 years. Mayburn was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for many years and was named Deacon Emeritus in 2019. He was also a member of Jefferson Lodge #90 F. & A.M.

Mr. Hatton is survived by his five children, Jerry (Lisa) Hatton, Debi (Jim) Lampert, Ron (Brenda) Hatton, Tracy (Gregory) Gainey & Tammy (Kelly) Thesken; brother, Olney Junior Hatton; sisters, Virgie Buell, Freida McCreary & Sue Ricke; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Sue Hatton; son, Edward Hatton; parents; brothers, Bill Hatton, Ed Hatton & Rayburn Hatton; sisters, Wave Emsweller, Joyce Green & Lois Hatton; and grandchildren, Laruen Gainey & Nathan Frazier.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), with Pastor Keith Risner officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 pm with Masonic Service at 7:30 pm. Masks and social distancing will be required for all who attend. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
