Melva B. Tewart, 98, of Middletown, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Lebanon on March 15, 1917 to parents Roy and Mary Elizabeth (Conner) Brandenburg.
Melva was a graduate of Lebanon High School and the Middletown Business School. She retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. She was a member of Prosser Chapter #367 Order of Eastern Star and the Public Employees Retirement System.
Mrs. Tewart is survived by her son, Dr. R. Wesley (Deanna) Stepp; sister, Frances Parker; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tewart; parents; brothers, Robert Brandenburg & Ralph W. Brandenburg; and sister, Nellie Boggs.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015, immediately following the Eastern Star Service at 11:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be at Morrow Cemetery.
