Michael P. Kessenich, 69, of Middletown, died Friday, December 9, 2011, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 16, 1942 to parents Arthur and Dora (Kuehn) Kessenich.
Michael served his country in the United States Army and Army National Guard, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 2002. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus and Knights Templar. Michael is a graduate of Marquette University and worked in the communications and advertising field the majority of his career both in Milwaukee and New York City.
Mr. Kessenich is survived by his wife, Teresa Robertson-Kessenich; son, Mark (Jennifer) Kessenich; daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Frank and Julie Kessenich; step son, Greg Robertson; brothers: Paul (Ann) Kessenich, Larry (Janet) Kessenich, Bill (Mary Kay) Kessenich, David (Anne-Marie) Kessenich, Peter (Debbie) Kessenich and Pat (Patrice) Kessenich; sisters, Mary (Tom) Hargarten and Kathy Kessenich; aunt, Gen Kuehn and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Inurnment will be at Dayton National Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
