Michael Ray Schoenberger

Michael Ray Schoenberger, 61, of Middletown, died Friday August 4, 2006 at the Dayton VA Hospital. He was born June 18, 1945 in Miamisburg, OH to parents Nicholas and Evelyn (Myers) Schoenberger.

Michael worked for First Financial Bank for 25 years, he served his country in the US Navy, he was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Lincoln Lodge #693, Scottish Rite, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Unlimited, Hamilton Elks, a lifetime member of the American Legion and the DAV. He was also Colonel Commandant of Confederate States Marine Corp. Co. “B”.

He is survived by his wife Susan (Wrights) Schoenberger of Middletown, daughters Wendy (John) Tomlinson of FT. Wayne, IN, Jennifer (Joe) Orth of Columbia City, IN, brother Jack (Lorna) Schoenberger of Miamisburg, sister Judy (Don) Wuerstl of Miamisburg, OH, four grandchildren; Madilyn Boylan, Amanda Boylan, Sean Michael Tomlinson, and Audrey Orth, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Geri Gingrich.


Funeral services will be Tuesday August 8, at 11AM at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) Visitation will be Monday August 7, from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
