Michael T. Welsh 64, of Monroe, died on Friday July 1, 2011 at his residence. He was born on Middletown on June 10, 1947 to parents Thomas and Mary Dell (Conklin) Welsh. He was a bricklayer for AK Steel, he retired in 2007 after 36 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, a graduate of Fenwick High School, a member of Jefferson Lodge # 90 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Antioch Shrine, and an avid old car enthusiast . Michael & Barbara appeared on the Today Show on NBC in 2009, they both were interviewed about their breast cancers.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara L. Welsh, a son; Michael S. Welsh, four grandsons; Brady, Caleb, Ethan and Noah Welsh, a brother Fr. Pat J. Welsh.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish-Holy Trinity Church, Fr. Pat J. Welsh celebrant. Interment at Woodside Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd.
