Mildred "Mickey" Armbruster, 78, of Nokomis, Florida, formerly of Middletown, died Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Middletown on April 17, 1924 to parents Leonard J. and Edna C. (Martin) Strauss.
Mickey graduated from Holy Trinity School and lived in Middletown for 52 years, before moving to Florida, where she has resided for the past 26 years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church. She was a volunteer for the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Salvation Army, and the Red Cross.
She is survived by her husband Frank L. Armbruster of Nokomis, Florida; a daughter, Mary Catherine (David) Uleman of Kings Mills, Ohio; three grandsons, Jon (Tricia) Croake-Uleman of Mason, Ohio, Daniel Uleman of Kings Mills, Ohio, and Michael (Pam) Uleman of Fairfax, Virginia; two granddaughters Cory (Tim) Bunnell of West Chester, Ohio, and Anne Uleman of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and six great grandchildren, Lauren & Cameron Croake-Uleman, Ashley & Hanna Uleman, and Elizabeth & Benjamin Bunnell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 11, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
