Mildred Baker, 87, of Middletown, died Thursday, November 26, 2009, at Rittenhouse Senior Living of Middletown. She was born in Broadview, Montana on December 5, 1921 to parents Willard and Lelia (White) Baird.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and served as a Red Cross nurse during World War II.
Mildred, devoted mother of six children, James (Janie) Baker, Rick (Becky) Baker, William (Nathalie) Baker, Greg (Barb) Baker, Weldon (Lindy) Baker and Jean (Steve) McCracken; sister, Stella (Alan) Baker; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon A. Baker; her parents; brothers, Art, Willard & Paul; sister, Pearl; and granddaughter, Holly Baker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton with Father George Klein as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
