Milford L. Pendleton, 94, of Franklin, died on November 6, 2006, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. He was born in Middletown, on June 26, 1912 to parents John W. and Willa (Carr) Pendleton.
Mr. Pendleton was a United States Postal Letter Carrier for 38 years, retiring in 1974. He was a 60 year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a 1932 graduate of Middletown High School. Mr. Pendleton attended Hope United Methodist Church. He and his wife Esther were married for 72 years.
He is survived by his wife, Esther (Rotroff) Pendleton; one daughter: Joyce A. (Stanley) Kolb of Middletown, two sons: Craig R. (Nancy) Pendleton of Franklin, and J. Keith (Patricia) Pendleton of Middletown; 8 granchildren, Debra L. (Richard) Teeters, Beverly A. (Larry) Tyra, Jill R. Mattson, Douglas D. (Sherry) Deardoff, Jeffrey K. (Jami) Pendleton, Scott L. (Kelly) Pendleton, Michael S. (Kim) Pendleton and Beth A. (Jeff) Landis, 14 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews.
Milford was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Helena Miller, Delores Mears and Ruth Markert; and a brother, John Wilbur Pendleton.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family with entombment at Woodside Mausoleum.
