Miriam Steiniger, 90, of Hamilton, died Sunday, February 11, 2007, at Berkeley Square. She was born in Weirton, West Virginia on December 20, 1916 to parents Kustaa Edward and Ellen Aune (Raitanen) Larmi.
Mrs. Steiniger was a retired school teacher, having worked for Hamilton City Schools and University of Cincinnati.
Miriam was preceded in death by her husband, Erich Wilhelm Steiniger; an infant daughter, Francesca Steiniger; her parents; sister, Helmi O'Malley; brothers, John Larmi and Allan Larmi; granddaughter, Melissa Steiniger; and great grandson, Samuel Steiniger.
She is survived by five children, Erika Schulte, Fredrik (Luann) Steiniger, Anthony (Patty) Steiniger, Karsten (Irene) Steiniger, and Theron Steiniger; one brother, Robert (Betty) Larmi; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Berkeley Square for their care.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), with Pastor Claude Robold officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 6-7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, February 19, 2007 at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman, Ohio.
