Monroe M. Osborne, 82, of Middletown, died Monday, April 30, 2018, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. He was born in Broadhead, Kentucky on May 11, 1935 to parents Adrian and Edna (Fields) Osborne.
Monroe had worked in transportation for Armco Steel Corp. He was a member of the NRA. Monroe loved music and played guitar with his band "Monroe & Friends". When he was younger he was an ordained minister in the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Mr. Osborne is survived by his son, Steve (Peggy) Osborne; stepson, Tony (Fay) Murry; sisters, Barbara J. Mullendore & Carma Spicer; brother, Lawrence (Pat) Osborne; sister-in-law, Shirley Osborne; special friend, Lena Barnett; and several grandchildren & great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Osborne; parents; brothers, Mitchell & Arnold Osborne; and sisters, Dorothy Proffitt, Opal Trent & Corrine Holland.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
