Myrtie "Jane" Lewis, 91, of Middletown, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on September 2, 1922 to parents Curtis and Rosella (Cox) Howard.
Jane worked in food service at the Manchester Inn for 20 years and was the head of the salad department. She took great pride in planning for large parties at the hotel. After retirement, Jane & Ed returned to Kentucky to enjoy their passion of farming. She was a loving & caring mother, grandmother & great grandmother who will be greatly missed by family & friends.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughters, Linda (Larry) Banks & Margie Baker; grandchildren, Jaime (Andy) Young, Ronald (Bonnie) Baker & Michele (Stephen) Mathis; and great grandchildren, Rebekah, Caleb, Cameron, Cadyn, Christian, Brayden & Elisabeth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond F. Lewis; parents; son-in-law, Ronald Baker; five brothers; and one sister.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Norman Coleman III officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
