Myrtle Elizabeth Poff, 83 of Madison Township died on Friday Morning at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Salvation Army and the Ladies Home League; She had been a carrier for the Middletown Journal. Mrs. Poff was born in Miltonville on Nov. 3, 1918 to Solomon & Catherine (Eisenman) Shafer.
Myrtle is survived by three sons; Thomas Darrell Poff, Middletown, Lester Leroy (Renee) Poff, Hartsville, Tn, Jeffery Todd (Sherry) Poff, Madison Township, Oh, daughters; Carolyn (Bud) Wells, Gratis, Oh, Wilma Sibcy, Middletown, Janet (Keith) Blake, Madison Township, Joy Callahan, Sommerville, Oh, Brenda (Mike) Barnet, Trenton, Helen (Kevin) Wagoner, Bellbrook, Oh, Twenty four grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dewey Poff in 1970, a brother John Shafer and three sisters Edna Cowl, Helen Powell, and Mary Wells.
Funeral services Tuesday at 10 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive, Capt. William Furman and Deacon Tyrone Blake officiating. Visitation Monday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment at Miltonville Cemetery.
