Myrtle Slone

Myrtle Slone, 97, formerly of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Heritage House Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Connersville, Indiana. She was born in Burdine, Kentucky on December 17, 1927 to parents, Joe and Armintia (Bridgeman) Leedy.

Myrtle had worked for the Butler County Treasurer's Office in the tax department, retiring in 1990. She was a devoted member of Yankee Road First Church of God, where she taught Sunday School. Myrtle loved to travel, especially to historical places. A few of the places she enjoyed most were California, Virginia, Myrtle Beach, Guatemala and the Holy Land.

Myrtle loved her family very much and she will be greatly missed by her daughter, Pat (Olen) Crank; her four grandchildren, Stacy Slone, Brian (Laura) Crank, Julie (Tom) Geiselman & Scott (Mindy) Crank; eleven great grandchildren, Sam, Sophie, Zachary, Allison, Adam, Evan, Hannah (Jordan), Maxwell, Molly, Ella & Lauren; and two great-great grandchildren, Wrenley & Rhett.

In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Slone; triplets, Charles, Judy & Ruby Slone; brothers, Ben, Milford, Frank, Orville & Howard; and sisters, Margie, Frances & Annie.

Funeral Service will be Friday, April 4, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Robin Short officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
