Nancy L. Fenton

Nancy L. Fenton, 76, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at home. She was born in London, Ohio on May 30, 1936 to parents Stewart and Lula (Stevens) Edwards.

Nancy was a certified member of AHIMA and retired from Middletown Regional Hospital, after serving as both department head of medical records / medical transcription and later as transcription supervisor. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was an active member of Prosser Chapter OES #367, having been Worthy Matron twice, Grand Representative of South Dakota 1982, President of Buckeye Links of Ohio 1991 and Past President of District 19 Past Matrons.
Nancy & Cary enjoyed building a home in the woods of Cave Run, Kentucky only to sell it & travel to Titusville, Florida with their permanent home in Middletown. With her husband she enjoyed Caribbean cruises, fishing, picture taking, feeding birds, squirrels, rabbits & chipmunks and making Cary's sister Stell's Christmas Cookie Logs each year at Christmas. They enjoyed the Stevens, Edwards, Fenton & Calvin Reunions each year, as well as the Jewish Stem Cell Reunions.

Mrs. Fenton is survived by her husband, Cary Fenton; sisters, Catherine Brown, Mary Ellen Fuller, Sharon Jean (Donald) Stamper & Myra Sue Edwards; brother-in-law, Thomas (Jane) Fenton; sister-in-law, Mary Fenton; & many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stewart William Edwards; sister, Virginia Ann Riley; & nephew, Michael Edward Riley.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke & Hospice Care of Middletown.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend John Wagner and Reverend David Hilton officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm with Eastern Star service held at 7:30 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice Care of Middletown, 3909 Central Ave., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
